Alcon launches the new Precision7 1-week lens

Almost nine out of ten contact lens specialists are of the opinion that daily disposable lenses are the better choice for their customers overall⁵. Nevertheless, for cost reasons, more than half of new contact lens wearers continue to be fitted with replacement lenses.^3,* Most opticians also agree that a one-week replacement cycle would be more intuitive for contact lens wearers than a two-week cycle.⁵ With Precision7, an innovation is now available that offers exceptional convenience, high performance and an easy-to-remember replacement rhythm^**, especially when daily disposable lenses are not an option.^1,3,5,*

The groundbreaking Activ-Flo technology combines a hydrophilic moisture reservoir embedded in the contact lens matrix with an innovative moisturizer. This migrates from the core to the surface to keep the contact lens moisturized for 7 days.^2,4

With Precision7, contact lens wearers can choose their preferred day of the week to exchange for a new, fresh lens. The market launch complements Alcon's Waterinnovations portfolio. Precision7 will be available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from January 2026 with 4,460 spherical and toric parameters.
