Miyosmart iQ – The New Standard in Eye Care for Children and Adolescents with Myopia
Hoya Vision Care is expanding its portfolio in the area of myopia management: The new Miyosmart iQ lens will be available in Switzerland starting August 1, 2026.
This advancement of the established D.I.M.S. technology¹ was developed to further optimize the control of myopia progression and sets new standards in evidence-based care for children with myopia.
With Miyosmart iQ, Hoya is introducing its new Triple Enhanced Design (TED) technology for the first time. This innovative design is based on three key advancements to the proven D.I.M.S. technology. DIMS TED introduces an enlarged treatment zone with more defocus segments, a higher degree of defocus, and positioning of the segments closer to the geometric center of the lens. The goal is to provide more continuous stimulation of the near-peripheral retina, thereby offering even more effective support for myopia control.
Particularly noteworthy are the latest clinical results presented at ARVO 2026. In a randomized controlled trial, 9 out of 10 children showed no clinically relevant myopia progression within the first 12 months, and on average, there was no progression of myopia.* In addition, minimal axial length growth was observed, some of which fell within the range of physiological eye development. The results include children aged four to twelve years and represent the strongest clinical evidence to date for a lens based on D.I.M.S. technology.2
