Fans are searching for the pair of glasses. The media are reporting on it. But what exactly makes these glasses a global talking point?<\/p>\n

Attention alone does not make a pair of glasses iconic. Iconic status arises when style and personality come together in an authentic way. When a pair of glasses is worn naturally over the years, they underscore the character of the person wearing them. They become part of that person\u2019s identity. Until, ultimately, it is no longer the glasses that take center stage\u2014but the person wearing them, with the glasses serving as an unmistakable signature.
