Lacoste presents Arthur Fils as the face of its new eyewear collection "The Line"

Arthur Fils, one of the most promising talents in French tennis, has been selected as a brand ambassador for the Lacoste 2024 textile and eyewear collection. Fils is the youngest player in the men's top 50, having won his first ATP title at the age of just 19.

With his exceptional performances on the tennis court and his charming demeanor, he perfectly embodies Lacoste's DNA. The campaign features a series of cheerful and sophisticated images that capture the essence of the collection and are perfectly interpreted by the athlete.

The Line collection is an innovative design project that combines classic and contemporary trends and reflects the French brand's appreciation for handcrafted details and high-quality materials. The frames feature classic design elements with a fresh approach and timeless shapes, accentuated by Lacoste's signature transparent tortoiseshell colors. The eyewear's unmistakable French charm is evident in the iconic crocodile symbol, the Petit Piqu© pattern and the reinterpretation of the strap concept, which is given a fresh twist with wafer-thin, colored stripes at the ends and temples, embodying the true essence of Lacoste DNA. The slender acetate temples, decorated with a subtle round metal crocodile in matching shades, complete the elegant shapes of the glasses. The combination of different materials gives this collection a sophisticated design that exudes class and style. "The Line Collection is an exciting new addition to the Lacoste Eyewear game and we are thrilled to have Arthur Fils playing this game with us. Arthur's enthusiasm and energy perfectly embody Lacoste's ideals of elegance and grit," says Gabriele Bonapersona, Chief Brand Officer of Marchon Eyewear.

The sunglasses L6035 from The Line collection is characterized by a timelessly masculine, modified rectangular front. A tone-on-tone metal crocodile symbol tops a reinterpretation of the ribbon concept with elegant colored stripes on the temple tips and temples. The sophisticated design is made of acetate with metal details and is available in four color variants: Havana, Black, Transparent Blue and Dark Havana.

The L2954the modified retro-style rectangular optical frame, is made of acetate with metal details and features elegant colored stripes on the temple tips and temples that reinterpret the ribbon concept. Fantastic view of the Eternal City

Fashion house Brunello Cucinelli and EssilorLuxottica signed a ten-year license agreement in November 2022, preceded by the first capsule collection with Oliver Peoples, the exclusive brand of the French-Italian group, in 2021. The creative teams worked together throughout 2023 to launch the first prestigious "Brunello Cucinelli" eyewear collection. The event was celebrated on March 21 in Rome.

To celebrate the official launch of this first eyewear collection, Brunello Cucinelli and EssilorLuxottica hosted an exclusive cocktail and dinner in Rome on March 21. Guests were able to discover the new collection in the spring evening light. The Villa Aurelia provided a picturesque backdrop with a fantastic view of the Eternal City. The evening's guests included Karolina Kurkova, Leonie Hanne, Emma Brooks, Moritz Hau and Toby Huntington-Whiteley.

Collection with five sub-collections

The ss24 Brunello CCucinelli sunglasses and prescription collection with timelessly elegant designs is divided into five sub-collections. Each individual model combines masterful workmanship with tasteful details that often incorporate references to iconic elements of the brand into the design. For example, the metal, titanium and acetate frames feature elements inspired by jewelry, the coat of arms of the brand based in Solomeo/Umbria or the emblematic Monili pearls.

Brunello Cucinelli, Executive Chairman and Creative Director of the fashion house, says: "Leonardo Del Vecchio once confessed to me: "Dear Brunello, I don't know if the glasses we make are beautiful. But they are definitely made in the best way in the world! Today, when I admire the outstanding result of this great work and harmony, I think of the words of this kind, strong-willed, steadfast and friendly man, who saw in his company in Agordo what he liked to call the "beautiful factory", a bit like me in Solomeo. Leonardo could dream and transmit his enthusiasm to all those who worked with him, especially to the highly esteemed Francesco Milleri who, with his special and brilliant humanity, knew how to create a relationship of respect and cordiality between our two teams, a measured approach that is the basis of any humanistic endeavor. The phenomenal product that emerged from this cordial collaboration is an outstanding piece of luxury craftsmanship and Made in Italy, recognized and appreciated worldwide. Plato said: "Beauty is the splendor of truth". So I sincerely hope that our glasses, which are so true and beautiful, will please customers and have the success they deserve".

Francesco Milleri, President and CEO of EssilorLuxottica, adds: "The Brunello Cucinelli fashion house has succeeded in creating a new concept of luxury based on respect for work and its dignity, which is its true and deepest soul. We are united by more than an agreement: Brunello Cucinelli is not only a great entrepreneur, but also a friend whom I respect and admire. The collection we have worked on under the creative direction of him and his family expresses all these values and perfectly combines technology and the highest craftsmanship".

Blackfin kicks off spring with One, Pacific, Atlantic & Sun

Blackfin presents the new Spring/Summer 2024 collections from One, Pacific, Atlantic and Sun. With its double soul, Blackfin stands for the perfect balance between creative design and timeless style. Recognizable in every detail by the elegance of titanium and the quality of craftsmanship.

With its creative and timeless soul, the Blackfin One collection reflects the brand's DNA, in which design and technology merge to create a unique product with a strong color effect. In the Blackfin Pacific line, the lightness of titanium is expressed in the slim frames, which combine the inspiration of Japanese retro style with the elegance of California and are now also available as sunglasses. The Blackfin Atlantic shows its British flair in a bold frame with a strong personality. Blackfin Aero is an ultra-light rimless frame characterized by its exceptional strength. And Blackfin Sun comprises various series with a selection of sunglasses that round off the brand's stylistic development.

Blackfin One

Blackfin One features an attractive design with bold colors and color combinations. Classic shapes and a perfect fit testify to the care and craftsmanship of the Italian company. The creative side of Blackfin One combines experimentation with art. Models such as Orkney, a reinterpretation of aviator glasses with a high bridge, and Haro, the hexagonal glasses with soft lines, attract everyone's attention with their bold, bright shades and neon colors. The new design and color concept culminates in the Fiji, Samoa and Palau models, where Blackfin's outstanding expertise comes to the fore. Thanks to the two-layer processing of a single titanium plate, the front has an original geometric camouflage effect, which is further enhanced by the color contrasts. The more classic men's models include Skagen and Lofoten, two classic glasses with slim, balanced profiles characterized by red, blue or green colour accents combined with muted tones. The Nantucket model is characterized by a wider front with a curve at the nose that gives the glasses a softer line, and Lewis is a panto frame with medium-sized lenses available in a wide range of vibrant colors, including a dark blue with an original antique effect. The women's Magdalen and Sitka models play with the soft geometric shapes of the curved nose bridge and exude elegance and exclusivity with their graduated colors.

Blackfin Pacific

The titanium plate of the front is processed in Bold thickness and slightly curved, creating a gentle curve in the nose area that creates lines in perfect harmony. Thanks to the sophisticated craftsmanship, the material contrasts with the volume, which exudes a certain lightness. The Harlem model is a unisex panto frame, while the Hampstead model is characterized by a more angular shape with a strong masculine character. The color palette for both models includes the Black Edition version with a front in Nano-Plating Shiny Obsidian Black Gold.

Blackfin Atlantic

For the spring/summer 2024 season, Blackfin Atlantic is presenting two new optical models that are also available with sunglasses lenses. The titanium plate of the front is processed in Bold thickness and slightly curved, creating a gentle curve at nose level that creates lines in perfect harmony. Thanks to the sophisticated craftsmanship, the material asserts itself against the volume, conveying a certain lightness. The Harlem model is a unisex panto frame, while the Hampstead model is characterized by a more angular shape with a strong masculine character. The color palette for both models includes the Black Edition version with a front in Nano-Plating Shiny Obsidian Black Gold.

Technical details such as the patented temples with tilt adjustment for a perfect fit and the monobloc hinge, which makes it easier to insert the lenses, are just as much distinguishing features as the name of the model, which is laser-engraved in italics on the inside of the temple and gives the glasses a stylish touch.

Blackfin Sun

Blackfin One presents three new sunglasses with a strong personality. The decision to work with Bold profiles is underlined by a special laser processing that reduces the weight of the frame and creates a texture along the deeper front. The titanium block is masterfully sculpted into a highly recognizable design that emphasizes facial shapes. Vertigo has round lenses with a high and wide upper profile, while Horizon is characterized by a sculptural and angular shape inspired by the original design of Blackfin eyewear. Liberty, on the other hand, features soft, slightly elongated lines in a modern take on the classic cateye frame. The choice of colors alternates between black and shades such as dark green, dark blue, burgundy red and mud brown, which are combined with tinted or gradient lenses.

The more stylish models from Blackfin Pacific, such as Mavericks, Sonoma, Pasadena and Tahoe, are available with self-tinting lenses in yellow, green, light blue and gold, giving them an exclusive glamorous touch. Other frames, including Mavericks, are available with Barberini's innovative AirGlass lenses, which guarantee an exceptional visual experience and unparalleled optical quality.

Blackfin Atlantic enriches the collection with two new frames in the Sun version: the Harlem panto frame with the Bold profiles typical of this line and the edgier Hampstead rigoros in black with gradient-tinted lenses.

All Blackfin models are manufactured in Italy in the Black Shelter, the sustainable company headquarters with CasaClima Work&Life certification in accordance with the values of Neomadeinitaly.

The new Adidas Sport products for spring and summer 2024

Innovative spoilers, wrap-around shapes and familiar comfort: the new multisport sunglasses from adidas Sport impress with technology and style.

The demands placed on sports sunglasses are high and varied. A comfortable, non-slip fit, low weight and reliable protection of the eyes from UV rays, draughts and glare are the be-all and end-all. The performance-oriented adidas Sport brand cleverly meets all these requirements by focusing on the individual needs of athletes. Because in sport, too, good eyesight means better chances.

COMPETITION RANGE

Lightweight frames made of TR-90 material combined with rubberized and individually adjustable nose pads and temple tips guarantee a stable fit in the Competition Range. Well thought out: the iconic adidas logo with the three stripes not only adorns the sides of the temples, but also serves as a sweat drain on the nose pads, ensuring that the glasses fit perfectly even during maximum physical exertion. Dynamic ventilation systems prevent the lens from fogging up. Special safety hinges prevent contact between the ends of the temples and the shield lens when the goggles are stowed away, so that the latter cannot be damaged.

The Competition half-frame model SP0093 with spherical Shield lens and geometric silhouette meets all the requirements of high-quality sports sunglasses. Cleverly designed: The field of vision is not restricted downwards by a frame and offers an optimum view even on uneven trails. Thanks to the practical clip-in system, athletes can adjust the glasses to their individual prescription. Optionally available with photochromic lenses. Weight: 32 grams

The SP0094 and SP0095 half-frame models for narrow and wide faces offer optimum protection against glare and draughts: the two multi-sport glasses impress with particularly wide shield lenses in an optimized wrap-around design and individual adjustment options on the nose pads and temple tips. While the SP0095 is intended for wider face shapes, athletes with a narrow face are best advised to choose the SP0094. Both unisex glasses are optionally available with photochromic lenses for infinitely variable adjustment to a wide range of lighting conditions and can also be used if vision correction is required thanks to a clever clip-in system. A clear interchangeable lens is also included for all color variants. Weight: 31 grams for the SP0094, 33 grams for the SP0095.

PERFORMANCE RANGE

The SP0075 has a fresh look in a proven performance design. The popular see-through model - particularly suitable for women - boasts a particularly large field of vision with no downward restriction. The wrap-around design reduces lateral glare and protects the eyes from draughts. The automatic adjustment of the photochromic lenses to changing light conditions is particularly practical. The 9-hole ventilation system ensures optimum air circulation and prevents the lens from fogging up. Adjustable, rubberized nose pads and temple tips enable an individual fit at all times. Weight: 29 grams

ACTIVE RANGE

The SP0091 is the classic par excellence: lightweight and robust, with clean lines and a classic design. The full-rim glasses are a good choice during and after sport - perfect for a bike ride followed by a visit to the beer garden, for example. Ventilation holes on the upper frame and at the side of the temples ensure optimum air circulation and prevent the lenses from misting up. Individually adjustable, rubberized nose pads and temple tips guarantee maximum comfort. The slim temples make this model ideal for wearing under a helmet. Weight: 25 grams

The SP0092 offers sporty style in a rounded rectangular shape. The solid wrap-around construction is extremely comfortable to wear. The lightweight and flexible frame has a dynamic 10-hole ventilation system on the upper edge and extra-large cut-outs on the sides of the robust temples. This guarantees optimum air circulation and prevents the lenses from fogging up. In addition to the curvature, which is perfectly adapted to the shape of the face, rubberized and individually adjustable nose pads and temple tips ensure a secure fit. Weight: 39 grams

CooperVision supports KAKS research

The German Children's Eye Cancer Foundation (KAKS) supports children diagnosed with retinoblastoma and their parents and raises awareness of the importance of early detection. If the malignant tumor in the eye is detected early, the affected children can be prevented from going blind.

CooperVision has been a partner of KAKS for many years and is currently donating one or three euros per MiSight® 1 day campaign box to one of the foundation's research projects.

Children's eyes in particular need our attention and protection. Poor vision does not hurt and children at a young age in particular do not notice when their eyesight deteriorates, but it becomes particularly critical when the deterioration is caused by a tumor such as retinoblastoma.

Since its foundation in 2009, the German Children's Eye Cancer Foundation (KAKS) has been researching methods for the early detection and cure of this aggressive tumor. CooperVision has been supporting KAKS for several years with donations and high-profile campaigns. The company's current goal is to collect 10,000 euros in donations to fund a promising KAKS research project. In future, children who have already been diagnosed with retinoblastoma are to be given the chance to be treated with a new immunotherapy (CAR-T cell therapy) that has already been successful in other areas. If successful, the therapy can help prevent the life-threatening spread of the disease in the body.

Opticians and ophthalmic practices can support KAKS with CooperVision: Until April 30, 2024, CooperVision will donate one euro to KAKS for every 30-pack of MiSight® 1 day one-day contact lenses and three euros for every 90-pack.

Premium contact lens inspires opticians and customers

One year ago, Johnson & Johnson Vision launched ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day and ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL onto the market. Since then, the premium contact lenses have won over numerous opticians and contact lens wearers throughout Switzerland.

Launched a year ago - now indispensable: 60 percent of Swiss contact lens specialists now carry the ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day product family in their range.

"We have developed the ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day product family specifically for the high visual demands of a modern lifestyle," emphasizes Tina Tursic, Marketing Manager at Johnson & Johnson Vision Switzerland. "Our varied, demanding everyday lives and the long hours we spend on digital devices - sometimes up to 13 hours a day - constantly demand maximum performance from our eyes. With ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day, contact lens specialists can provide optimal care for customers with high demands. And ultimately benefit from satisfied, loyal customers".

Excellent lens material and unique technology combination

The spherical and multifocal contact lenses ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day made of silicone hydrogel material offer a completely new level of visual quality and comfort thanks to the combination of two innovative technologies: TearStable technology ensures prolonged stability of the tear film and a high level of comfort at the end of the day. The Optiblue Light filter reduces stray light by 20 percent, improving visual quality and comfort.

ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day MULTIFOCAL adds another technology: the pupil-optimized design adjusts 100 percent of the parameters for different pupil sizes depending on age and refractive error.

Judith Seidel and Bernhard Schaub, owners of Peter & Bosshard Optik in Zurich, attest to the enormous market potential of the premium contact lens: "ACUVUE OASYS MAX 1-Day is a real milestone and our first choice for contact lens fitting. 90 percent of our customers who have tried this lens have opted for it in the end. We were even able to convince potential dropouts to continue wearing contact lenses."

Where the panther makes an appearance

The modern evolution and reinvention of Cartier's timeless elegance and iconography is the main message of the new eyewear collection, which combines savoir-faire and creative design.

The panther, which appears in the Spring/Summer 2024 eyewear campaign and was inspired by the leather goods and jewelry collections, is a key element of the House and lends fascination and allure to Panth¨re de Cartier sunglasses and optical models.

The iconic feline predator is reinterpreted as a sinuous, C-shaped ornament on bold acetate shapes, while its elongated silhouette is rendered along the metal temples with the panther's head at the ends and tail at the temple tips. This ever-changing aesthetic is enhanced by three-dimensional, shiny enamel accents reminiscent of the emblematic animal spots.

Model CT0472S
Sunglasses frame in the shape of a narrow cat's eye made of solid acetate with three-dimensional, C-shaped cat decoration made of gold-colored metal and black enamel accents.

Model CT0494O
Unusual, visually rimless design with panther-shaped temples, decorated with a three-dimensional cat's head and tail with black enamel accents on a gold or platinum surface.

The thinnest on the market

read on, a Swiss company for reading glasses design, is proud to announce the launch of its latest innovation: read on light - ultra-thin, lightweight and highly flexible reading glasses made of high-quality, skin-friendly eyewear material (TR90). At just three millimeters, read on light is one of the thinnest reading glasses on the market and offers a colorful, modern and eye-catching design.

read on was founded by eyewear innovators Sandra Kaufmann and Monika Fink, who founded the Swiss eyewear label Sol Sol Ito and won a number of prestigious design awards, including the German Design Award, the Good Design Award and most recently the Red Dot Design Award. Three years ago, the team launched their first reading glasses product on the market: slim, foldable reading glasses that fit into a smartphone case.

"read on light, our latest innovation, has been developed as the ultimate lightweight reading glasses, with a fresh design, an ultra-practical hard case and benefits such as skin-friendly materials," says Sandra Kaufmann, industrial designer and co-founder of read on. "At Mido, where we presented the product for the first time, the response was overwhelming. Opticians, retailers and eyewear enthusiasts from all over the world are very interested in read on light".

Monika Fink, designer and co-founder of read on, adds: "We developed the read on light collection with a minimalist hard case that is easy to carry and store; the readers come in five bright, fashionable colors that immediately catch the eye. The interest and success we experienced in Milan shows that read on light is a product innovation that the optical industry has been waiting for."

The new lightweight reading glasses were launched worldwide at MIDO in Milan in February 2024. Each pair of reading glasses comes with a slim, color-coordinated hard case. The product is currently available in red, purple, jade, blue, black and yellow. A practical neck/shoulder strap in matching colors is available as an accessory. This is fitted with a silicone pad to make it easier to wear.

Light as air, clear as glass

Spectacle frames made of titanium from Blackfin meet lenses made of pure mineral glass from Barberini. The result is AirGlass: Light as Air, Clear as Glass. For a premium class visual experience.

The two Italian companies have combined their expertise to present a designer product that breaks through the boundaries of weight and creates a perfect balance between lightness and quality: the new Blackfin AirGlass lens weighs just nine grams more than comparable plastic lenses and is a concentrate of craftsmanship and innovation.

By using high-quality Barberini mineral glass, Blackfin AirGlass lenses overcome the limitations of conventional plastic lenses and avoid distortion and aberrations. These state-of-the-art polarized lenses provide better vision by neutralizing glare and reflections, reducing eye fatigue to a minimum. Blackfin Ultra-HDR technology, made possible by the use of rare earths such as neodymium, praseodymium and erbium in Barberini's manufacturing process, significantly improves the perception of color and contrast. The highly scratch-resistant and durable lenses offer higher color quality and excellent visual acuity. In addition, thanks to their oil and water-repellent treatment, they guarantee unaltered clear vision in all conditions while offering a high level of protection against UV radiation and unpleasant reflections.

With AirGlass, Blackfin and Barberini redefine the standards for excellent vision, for a new optical quality, as light as air and as clear as glass.

Pretty bloated

Götti Dimension launches new style icons with the spring 2024 collection. Bubbly, elegant and stylish. Quite pompous, in a positive sense! IVIE, IVON, ILANA and ILAY: when you look at these glasses, you think you know what they feel like.

With their striking, powerful aesthetics, the glasses in the new Bubbly range are a fashion must-have. However, the tactile and soft surface blurs the boundary between tangible and visual stimuli. Just looking at them triggers a feeling of well-being. You want to touch them, put them on and never want to put them down.

From the imposing, round signature glasses to the Cateye classic. The inflated age is all about maximalism - more is more and less is boring. Thanks to additive manufacturing from the finest polyamide powder, these striking eye-catchers impress with their minimal weight. They feel light, airy, comfortable and cozy. The strongly curved surfaces make the colors stand out particularly well.

Let's get bubbly.
