With Nirvan Javan and Alfredo Häberli, two designers and cosmopolitans come together
Nirvan Javan + Alfredo Häberli shows a unique creative dialog between two cosmopolitans and designers that redefines the possibilities of 3D printing.

Alfredo Häberli is one of the most influential designers in Switzerland. His work - from furniture and lighting to everyday objects - follows a clear aesthetic that stems from his personal credo: „Observation is the most beautiful form of thinking.“
His first eyewear designs, which were created in close collaboration with Nirvan Javan, are the realization of a long-cherished heart project. Eyewear as a central object that focuses on the individual. Hardly any other object is so close to the individual and is worn with such a constant presence.
Developed to mark the 10th anniversary of Nirvan Javan - the life's work of the designer of the same name - the collection is also a tribute to the two designers' shared hometown. For Nirvan Javan, the Zurich Collection represents a conscious return to the origins: Zurich as a design system, not just a symbol.
The designs follow a clearly defined design language, inspired by the basic elements of the city at the foot of the Alps. Typographic principles and urban geometries serve as a reference: five basic geometric shapes are varied, proportions are finely tuned and details are precisely accentuated. Similar to font design or typesetting, the magic lies in the nuances. Character is created through balance and precision.
Designed, developed and produced in Switzerland, the models combine technical consistency with design finesse. Clear lines, seamless transitions and a coherent materiality characterize the aesthetics. The titanium temples of the Nirvan Javan + Alfredo Häberli models flow seamlessly into the organic fronts. Every detail fulfills a purpose.
Glasses are not a fleeting accessory.
It is an object of daily use.
An intersection of function and perception.
The collaboration between Nirvan Javan and Alfredo Häberli stands for an understanding of design as a cultural practice and exchange: locally anchored, internationally oriented. The 3D-printed Inuit glasses, which are also available on request, are a concrete expression of this attitude. Originally part of the creative inspiration process, they reflect the unique character and special depth of the designs.
